Kukljica, once a fishing village, is now a popular resort on the southeastern end of Ugljan Island of the Zadar Archipelago. Like all other places of Ugljan, Kukljica is, too, settled on the northern side of the island. The village surrounds Kukljica Bay.

Kukljica has various beaches for its visitors. The largest one surrounds the peninsula north of Kukljica Bay - this is Zelena Punta Beach, partly in its original, rocky format but mostly covered with concrete terraces, which are broken into sections by pebbly entrances to the sea. West of the peninsula one finds Gnojišća Bay, covered partly with concrete with short pebbly sections, too. Going further to west one gets to Kostanj Beach - a tiny beach with sand. Beyond its beaches on the northern side of the island, three bays on the southern side are also popular beaches: Velika and Mala Sabuša and Jelenica bays. These latter two have rocky coasts with short sections of covered by pebbles, while Velika Sabuša is surrounded by concrete. Jelenica is a naturist beach.

The single largest number of beds is offered by the Zelena Punta resort settlement. The resort was refurbished in 2011 and further developments are expected to start in late 2013. Just like in any other town or village in Croatia, in Kukljica, too, visitors find an abundance of private apartments available for rent.

There are three groceries for the daily shopping needs, a couple of restaurants, cafes, bars and cake shops in the village. Details about them can be found on the inner pages of our website - please take a look around on Kukljica.info!
